(DSI) plans to develop multi-fields at NELHA beginning with desalinated deep seawater (DSW) bottling, production of ultra-pure water, concentrated mineral DSW syrup, and DSW salt products. DSI will also develop an aquaculture business and other manufacturing activities such as plastic bottle and container manufacturing. Initially, DSI plans to focus on mass production of bottled DSW-derived beverages to be exported to global markets.

Taylor Shellfish - Kona a family-run business headquartered in Washington state, is the largest clam producer in the U.S. Taylor's "winterless" NELHA facilities have a production goal of up to 400 million juvenile Manila clams and 10 million juvenile Pacific oyster per year. The juvenile molluscs are exported year 'round from Hawaii back to the Pacific Northwest for final growout in company-owned intertidal areas or sold as seed stock for other growers.
